25/04/22: TCC Car News - What's hot today?

Over the last couple days, the car news has been rather bland. Oh and I have to admit, I got a bit... or alot wrong about the aesthetics of the new i7. In my defence from the render in the last post it looked ok. In reality though, it really is ghastly.
Due the afformentioned blandness, I've decided to have a look around at other content and put my automotive content curating skills to the test. My first pick:
Manual E61 M5 - Yes that's right a V10 touring with an H pattern!?
Yes yes I know it's not the picture you're after. The money shot well that's below:
Ok now breathe. Guess what? No I'm not a mind reader but yes I do know your next thought - that looks like it could be expensive. Honestly you're not wrong, whether its the purchase price or the potential for astronimical bills if something goes wrong, this could be an entry level pick for the boys at Pistonheads in their "Brave Pill" section. We've seen no end of these things go wrong, from rod bearings failing and engines going pop to the likes of Mark Riccioni's (IG: mark_scenemedia - well renowned photographer for TopGear and purchaser of the most obscene vehicles) go up in flames. If my memory serves me correctly (which it quite often doesn't) the latter was due to something hot, an exhaust manifold perhaps, burning through a part of the loom and starting an electrical fire.
Back to this car, and moving away from the negative and onto something positive (electrical fire - see what I did there). Supposedly its the only one in Europe and there's only one other in Hong Kong. So we're not really sure what this could go for...
One thing is for certain though if you do buy it, you'll have one of the rarest car specifications in the world. When you turn up to automotive inspired events, assuming you make it there in one piece that is, car virgins (such as myself) will be forgetting all about high powered supercars and drooling over your possession instead... Cool factor 10/10.

Schaefchen Paris Vlogs - Alot of sideways action
The fact you're probably not subsribed to Schaefchen is simply criminal (quite like some of the driving that's going on in these videos. While I don't condone this sort of driving in built up areas (ie a capital city), honestly I'm not one to complain about this type of thing. It makes for rather nuts content.
Personally I enjoy videos from a variety of production levels. From the high end 4k shots that have been coordinated and recorded within an inch of their life to the more vlog-esque videos that entail someone running around like a mad(wo)man capturing just whatever happening at the time.
Infact I must admit I actually prefer the Vlog style videos better - when the fundamentals are still right. The fundamentals being some top notch driving. There's just something romantic/exceptionally good/unbeatable about capturing car enthusiasts having a great time partaking in some crazy, well executed driving.
It kinda takes me back to the old days of Chris Harris, when he'd just jump in his 997 GT3 RS 4.0 and do some slideys down some roads in Wales.
Anyway enough of what kind of videos I like and back to the afformentioned video. Give it a watch, drop us a comment on IG or send us a dm and let us know what you think.
